2016 XP 1000 models have different clutches than earlier years. The 2016 XP4 (4 seat version) and the 2016 Highlifter edition have lower gearing in the final drive than the regular 2 seat version, and is more suited to very large tires. This version has different shift requirements for optimum performance. This adjustable kit was designed for use in these vehicles, and has a flyweight version designed for this application.

This kit includes Dalton’s patented “Quick Adjust” flyweight system that allows you to add or subtract some of the weight from the flyweights, without even removing the flyweights from the drive clutch.
The instruction manual includes a “set up guide” that shows how to set up the kit for different tires and applications.

*2017 RZR XP Highlifter version is said to have even lower final drive gearing and we have not tested to give input. Any final drive gearing change has effect on rate of shift and clutch calibration.
FAQ: Since the kit is adjustable, does that mean I have to adjust it and try to get it set up, or have to always speak with someone to tell me how to do it ?
Answer: No. The fact that the kit can be adjusted simply means that if you later change tire size or situation that you will not have to purchase another clutch kit version (as long as it is the same vehicle the kit is described for). With this clutch kit the set up manual tells you how to set it up for different applications if you change later. The flyweights are adjustable for mass.
