The helix on some of the ’06 and
newer Arctic Cat models with the new ACT
secondary is now a cast / one piece version.
We still use our same billet helixes as we did
on the first direct drive models. In order to
use the billet helix on these models it is necessary
to use a helix cap from a ’04 – ’05
Arctic model with the ACT secondary (and
associated hardware) or this Dalton Billet
cover. This kit, part # DHC – 100, comes with a billet cover, complete with bushing
and the necessary hardware to install our billet “C” helixes on newer versions
of the clutch. Only one kit is necessary as it can be transferred to any
Dalton “C” helix you choose for future tuning.
(04 and up Arctic Cat fixed pin drive clutch
only.)
Dalton Pro patented Quick Adjust Cam Arms allow you to adjust the weight of
the main body of the flyweight without even removing the flyweight from the
drive clutch.
Turn each flyweight to the top position and you can add or subtract mass
from the flyweight body by use of the supplied allen wrench. A great
convenience when tuning newer Arctic models with the fixed pin clutch. These
flyweights offer up to 7.5 grams of adjustability.

This pkg of hardware is a replacement pack. They are sold as a pack for each quick adjust individual flyweight. Fits all Dalton Snowmobile quick adjust flyweights. 1/4" UNC with pre applied nylon patch.
These tungsten filled set screws are an add on item for any set of Dalton "Quick Adjust" snowmobile flyweights. Each 7/8" long unit weighs 5.4 grams . Custom made with pure tungsten inserts, this set up is only used if you need to make your existing quick adjust set heavier.
Makes Dalton QA sets for Yamaha 3.4g heavier, and Polaris / Arctic sets with the longer threaded passage up to 4g heavier when compared to the standard set screws fully loaded.
This one piece spider shim has been successfully used by many savvy clutch tuners to increase belt grip at take off on some of the recent Cat models*. Previous Arctic drive clutches had three of the .060" washers under the spider. Some 07-09* models now come with less shims (2x .060, 1 x .030). These clutches with less shims are sensitive and sometimes engage higher even with less spring rate. By replacing the existing washers with this one piece shim it moves the spider out slightly, so that the flyweight is "untucked" more at first engagement for better leverage, and increases belt grip on some high torque models and is a good improvement in belt life.
* Some 2010 models have a new/different drive clutch, spider, and shims and different spacing may be required.

We now offer a selection of PROGRESSIVE cut helixes
for the “new” ACT drive. The regular helixes for ACT
Drive from the factory, as well as our above “C” listing
are done with a distinct step style of cut, using a short
duration first angle. Some drag racers prefer a full progressive
curve. The following with this style of cut are
designated by the prefix “” and the suffix “”.

Some 09' and newer Arctic 2
stroke models have the electronic
reverse system and require a notch
in the ramp for the reverse. These
are still the earlier style adjustable "C" helix models that require a
DHC-100 cover kit,or a 05' type
Arctic adjustable cover and hardware
to use on the newer sleds that came with a cast one
piece helix. All models with the notch for electronic
reverse system are designated "" followed by the
angle. If it is a progressive type cut it would be designated
by the suffix "" after the part number.
CR electronic reverse notched version helixes are NOT for use with aftermarket torsional springs or conversion cap kits! The torsional force will not allow the reverse to engage the notch properly and obvious damage will occur.

The new enclosed, one piece models are similar to what comes on newer ACT Drive Arctic models. One piece design.
Previously all of our "C" model helixes have been the early tubular type, that you use with our DHC-100 cover or the 05 factory adjustable cap when using them on 06 and up ACT sleds. Some tuners still prefer the cheaper tubular type for tuning, as they can have one cap kit and use it on multiple tubular helix models, use them with torsion springs, etc. You can use either type on any ACT sled, but you need an end cap on the tubular type for newer models.
We now offer the one piece enclosed versions as well. These are a complete bolt on like the stock one and no end cap is necessary.
*ALL of our previous helix cuts for "C" type helixes are available in the enclosed type. You must specify before the part number when ordering.
Part number examples: E- = enclosed, one piece
* Check appropriate angle charts above for availability.
